Growing up in small town Texas, summer always meant two things: more reading and more writing. And what I most loved to write back then were short stories…the darker, the better.
This summer I’m hard at work on my next thriller, but I managed to find time for a short story that’s perfect for a lunch break by the pool…that is, if you like a little murder with your iced tea. Till Death is AVAILABLE NOW on all platforms, including Amazon, Kobo, B&N, and Apple.

Every year, rain or shine, Tom and Alice hike to the top of Lover’s Leap to commemorate their wedding anniversary. Fifty years ago, Tom proposed at the lookout when they were too young to understand what it meant to promise till death do us part. Some years, they hold hands as they hike. Some years, they bicker. Some years, they love each other. Some, they don’t.
But they keep returning to Lover’s Leap. Year after year. In good times and bad. In sickness and health.
They keep going up, and they keep coming down. Together.
Because after fifty years, there are only two ways to end a marriage.
